they ran me out of there II

I loved the job

I was writing training courses for the clients

helping them do the job they did

but my colleagues didn’t get that

felt a better way to go

was for them to do the clients job for them

that way they got to be helper saints

big boys & girls in power suits

get the clickety clack walk down corridors

swing their shoulders hunting the fame

seeking their self worth at work

rather than being who they truly were

& I tried to work with this

as they built their barriers

he is not one of us

yes for sure that was indeed true

& its in this way the weak build the weak

nobody ever gets to fish for themselves no more

since I got run out of the place

the power players lost their jobs

the clients don’t feel understood anymore

nobody gets to be the winner

& there is in the end

no score
